1. Overview & scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Mittiva ("Mittiva", "we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal data when you visit mittiva.io, book a call with us, chat with our website widget, or otherwise engage with our marketing site. We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, as that term is used in India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we actually need:
- Information you give us directly. When you book a call through the calendar on our contact page, when you send a chat through the widget on our services page, or when you email us — you give us things like your name, email address, phone number, business name, and whatever message you send.
- Information collected automatically. Our site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure traffic. This produces standard log data — IP address, browser type, referrer, pages visited, approximate location (city level), session duration. Google may use cookies to do this.
- Information from third parties. If you interact with our calendar or chat, our partner LeadConnector processes that interaction on our behalf and passes the resulting data through to us.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data (sensitive personal data) — health information, financial account numbers, biometric data, government IDs — and ask that you not send any to us through the public site.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Reply to your inquiry, schedule and run our call, and draft a proposal if you want one.
- Send transactional follow-ups (e.g. a calendar invite, a recap email after a call).
- Run our website — keep it fast, fix bugs, see which pages people use.
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to profile you for advertising. We do not train AI models on your data.
4. Third-party processors
To run the site we rely on a small number of vendors who process personal data on our behalf, under contract:
- LeadConnector / GoHighLevel. Hosts our booking calendar and chat widget. When you book a call or chat with us, your details (name, email, phone, message) are processed through LeadConnector's infrastructure. See their privacy policy.
- Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Fonts). Powers our site analytics and serves the typefaces we use. See Google's privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages. Hosts mittiva.io itself. GitHub may log standard server-side request information. See GitHub's privacy statement.
5. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies for two purposes only: (a) to remember your
theme preference (dark / light) — stored locally in your
browser via localStorage, never sent to us;
and (b) to support Google Analytics traffic measurement.
You can clear cookies through your browser at any time.
We do not use cross-site tracking cookies, advertising
cookies, or fingerprinting.
6. When we share information
We share personal data only:
- With the third-party processors named in section 4, under contract and only for the purposes set out there.
- With professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, insurers) where genuinely required.
- If we're required to by law — e.g. a court order, regulatory request, or police inquiry.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business — in which case we'll let you know.
We do not sell personal data. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertising networks.
7. Data retention
Inquiry and booking data is retained for as long as needed to respond to you and complete any engagement that follows — and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically 24 months) for follow-up, accounting, and legal record keeping. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard 14-month retention. You can ask us to delete your data earlier — see section 9.
8. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data — including HTTPS-only transport, access controls on our vendor accounts, and limited internal access. No transmission or storage system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs that affects your personal data, we'll notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Act.
9. Your rights under the DPDP Act
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and what we're doing with it.
- Correction & erasure — ask us to correct inaccurate data or delete data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we're processing on the basis of your consent.
- Grievance redressal — raise a concern with our Grievance Officer (section 13) and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello mittiva.io. We'll respond within 30 days.
10. International transfers
Some of our processors (LeadConnector, Google, GitHub) store and process data on servers outside India. When this happens, the transfer is governed by the relevant provider's data-processing terms. We will not transfer your personal data to a country that has been notified by the Government of India as restricted under the DPDP Act.
11. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, flag them near the top of this document. If a change materially affects how we handle personal data we already hold about you, we'll contact you directly where we have a way to.
13. Contact & grievance officer
